-2014-

Looking back past days and I found that 2014 was a very difficult year for me.   An important person left me, and I was simply struggling to keep my mouth above the water in life, almost got drawn.  I got injury on my back, and I could not run at all (at one point, I could not even walk well).    I was telling my self, when any door does not open no matter what I did, I must be opening it in a wrong timing and I must wait until doors open by themselves.

How to enhance your productivity.

How to spend your day will define your productivity in a long run.  You should acquire good habits not to waste your precious time.  Here I will share some software I found, which are helpful for time and productivity managements.

1.  Take time log:
At work, first thing I usually do is to turn on MacTimeLog.  This software helps you to log how much time do you spend on what project.

2.  Take life log:
Having good habits is the key to spend your time efficiently.  Our brains naturally avoid effort, and the most efficient way to convince them to unfavorable tasks is make it an habit.  To manage my habits, I usually take life log, describing how I spend time on a day.  For the purpose, I am using evernote, which enable you to share notes between multiple computers and iPhone.

3.  Make a task list:
Making the list of tasks to be completed is important.  I use producteev for task management, because this software allows me to share the list of tasks on multiple computers and iPhones.

4.  Review them:
Finally, it is also important to review your progress.  I review my life log weekly and everything else monthly.  It is also helpful to visualize your achievement by making graphs, so that you can see the area you did good and you need more work instantly.

New year resolutions for 2013

I have been annoyed by back pain in 2012.  I am really grad that I almost overcome this problem.  The back pain problem inhibited me from running so I was not able to run well this year.  Here are the list of things I would like to achieve in 2013.

1.  Run one half and one full marathons.

2.  Resume vegan diet as much as possible.

3.  Take a two-week -vacation.

4.  Read at least 12 books.

Vegan again

Since I moved to Cleveland, it was extremely challenging to maintain vegan diet.  To be honest, I started to eat cheese and fish.  I had to go to restaurants for business meetings frequently, and most of restaurants in this city are not vegan friendly.  Now I would like to come back to complete vegan diet again.  I am thinking creative solutions how to satisfy my need to visit local restaurants for business meetings while bringing myself back to complete vegan diet.

Transformation

There is a morning when you realize you are transformed.  Last Saturday morning, I realized that I am transformed.  First I came back on a strict vegan diet again.  I start running seriously.  Finally, I resume this blog.  These are good changes happen to me.  I am glad that I am back on the right track.

Kindle vs iPad

I bought an Amazon Kindle last week.  So far I like this device very much.  I use both apple iPad and Kindle to read books, however, the biggest difference between these two devices is its weight.  iPad is, at least for me, too heavy to keep holding during long read.  On the other hand, kindle is light enough to hold for long time.  Indeed, I like Kindle's electric ink.  It is much easier to read than iPad display, especially in the outside.

Back to blogging again

Here I come back to this blog.  There were so many things happen in my life in last two years.  Some of them were good and others were not.  No matter what, life goes on.  Life is always tough for me, but I will keep up with it.  I decided to resume this blog again.
